the sun stroked the village for 3 long weeks barely an animal would graze
the people prayed restlessly when the water well went low
a little girl walked blocks to get her mom water
on the way she tripped and broke her leg
they brought her to the bus door and ran hearing the poor girl screaming
home again no memory no pain the villagers pray
